Make Your Move!

Make Your Move!

Are you ready to make a move?  I am not talking about a move to a different house, a different job, or a different city.  I am talking about a strategy move, a vision move, a God-sized dream move.  Are you ready to make a move?

Remember that when the Spirit is leading you to make a move there is often something else that has to move first.  There is some challenge that seems to always get in the way; it has to move!  There is some problem that seems to always distract my attention; it has to move!  There is some person that seems to always spread toxins around you; they have to move!

Jesus knows there are some things that have to move before we can make the move the Spirit wants for us.  In Matthew 17:20 Jesus says; “For truly I tell you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.”

The mountain of disappointment and discouragement will move out of the way.  The mountain of inadequacy and anxiety will move out of the way.  The mountain of pride and greed will move out of the way.  When we have enough faith to tell the mountain to move, the mountain will move out of the way of God’s dream for us.

If we have even a little bit of faith, the mountain will move.  If we have even a little time of prayer, the mountain will move.  If we have even a little bit of courage, the mountain will move.  The mountain that is standing in the way of you making a move will move when you ask in Jesus’ name.

Sometimes you may forget that Jesus does not need you and your stuff to move mountains out of the way.  Jesus only needed five small loaves of bread and a couple of dried fish to feed 5,000 men as well as their wives and children.  Jesus only needed a little spit and a thimble full of dirt to restore the eye-sight of a person who had been blind from birth.  Jesus only needed a short time of prayer by Himself before He was willing to surrender His life on a cross so we could have abundant life.

Jesus does not need you and your stuff to move your mountains out of the way.  But, Jesus likes to involve you in moving mountains so you will experience the power of Jesus’ love and the abundance of Jesus’ blessing.

So, are you ready to make a move?  You don’t need everything in place.  You don’t need more resources.  You don’t need everyone to agree.  You need a little bit of faith in Jesus and a willingness to trust Jesus with things that are not yet visible to you.

Jesus tells you to talk to the mountain that is standing in the way of chasing after God’s dream for your life.  Jesus says, “…say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there…”  Tell your mountain of fear to get out of the way.  Tell your mountain of sadness to get out of the way.  Tell your mountain of past abuse to get out of the way.  Tell your mountain of previous failures to get out of the way.

Are you ready to make a move?  Then, tell your mountain…whatever it is…to get out of the way.  Jesus says that even with a little faith in Him the mountain will move.  And then, when your mountain moves Jesus says, “…nothing will be impossible for you.”

Jesus has a dream for your life; nothing will be impossible for you!  Your first step is to trust Jesus enough that you can tell your mountain to get out of the way of where the Spirit is leading you.

In Philippians 4:13 the Apostle Paul reminds us of Jesus’ promise.  Paul writes; “I can do all things through him (Jesus) who strengthens me.”

There is no greater joy than seeing a mountain move out of the way so we can chase after God’s dream.  Every time a rock on our mountain crumbles, Jesus gets the glory and our heart sings with delight in the goodness and generosity and grace of God.

Mountains are getting ready to move out of the way; nothing is impossible for those who trust in Jesus!

Take Delight In The Lord!
