The Lord loves you so much He lived on earth, He died on a cross, and He lives again in your heart. You are His precious child. The Lord loves you. The Lord has a dream for you. The Lord accepts you. The Lord has a purpose to which He is calling you. The Lord takes delight in you. The Lord is eager to renew and restore and heal you.
Whether your life is filled with blessing and abundance today or your life is filled with heart-ache and heart-break today, I invite you to make some time to take delight in the Lord God.
Reflect
Describe some things that are not mentioned by David in Psalm 37 that invite you to delight in the Lord God. What does it look like when you take delight in the Lord for something specific? How easy is it to take delight in the Lord God when you are in a season of struggle or trouble? What would help you take delight in the Lord when things are difficult for you?
Pray
Lord God, your grace in my life is undeserved, your goodness for me is amazing, your greatness is beyond my imagination, and your generosity is something I can never earn. Your love and care for me cause my heart to overflow with praise and delight. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for dying for me. Thank you for living in me. I love you Lord God. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.
Act
For each day during the next month, choose one of the items provided on the list above as the focus of your prayers and worship for the day. Focus on taking delight in the Lord for that gift.
